More than 160 young minorities, aged 16 to 35, being pupils, students and young professionals in the public sector, have acquired, in the second half of 2015, free of charge, the official language of our country through the Program “Distance Romanian learning”, implemented by the National Association of European Trainers from Moldova with financial support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Lucia Cucu, ANTEM director, said on December 24th at the final conference of the above mentioned program, that it is being implemented already the fourth consecutive year. It is necessary that this program to be continued and supported in the future, both by Ministry of Youth and Sports and by the Ministry of Education.
Training under this program takes place via the e-learning platform ” Distance Romanian learning ” – http://invat.antem.org, which covers levels A1-A2, B1, B2 and C1 for various professional groups, and the educational materials developed by ANTEM experts comply with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
During the same conference, Ion Donea, Head of Department of MYS, said that the program successfully contribute to youth development, bring added value to their linguistic competences, helping them to integrate more easily into society and, particularly, in employment.
In its turn, Lilia Bolocan, General Director of the Interethnic Relations Bureau, noted that according to the latest census of the population, in Moldova live 96 ethnic groups. Thus, being necessary for the state to invest more efforts to help them integrate and to be active in all aspects.
The quality of teaching Romanian language is still a problem for the education system in our country, but not for ANTEM, offering the highest standards. Consequently, there are signals from all sides that ANTEM should include a wider spectrum of beneficiaries of all ages, noted Lilia Bolocan.
In context, Liubomir Chiriac, executive director of IDIS “Viitorul”, emphasized the significance of ANTEM not being expected for the concept of distance learning to be formalized, but found and trained the the necessary experts, developed and launched the e-learning portal – invat.antem.org. This tool is new, modern and attractive, well built and many people, including those from abroad, turn to it for learning Romanian, added Liubomir Chiriac.
And Natalia Grau, senior consultant at the Ministry of Education, said that it is very important what ANTEM is doing both for the non-natives from our country and for the hundreds of thousands of Moldovans from abroad, and their children have the opportunity to learn Romanian even abroad. Currently, representatives of this ministry are finalizing a Romanian language program at national level, which, in 2016, could be expanding further, specified Natalia Grau.
The “Distance Romanian Learning” Program was launched by ANTEM in 2012 and within it followed, so far, free courses of distance Romanian learning, over 1,200 non-natives from our country. Another approximately 5,000 employees in the public sector attended the courses of Romanian language for free, courses organized by ANTEM on traditional method.
